What a journey! After a crowdfunding campaign in May 2020 that made us beam with happiness, we can now hold the Mundekulla Cooks cookbook in our hands! And we got awarded with two beautiful acknowledgements in the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards for Best Vegetarian Cookbook and Best Hotel Cookbook of Sweden 2020. We are so stoked, grateful and excited for the amazing support of all who made this possible!
In the last three years we served over 40000 meals to over 5000 people visiting us in the forests of Mundekulla. So we felt it was time to make a cookbook! All our love for food, nature, people, farming and creativity has manifested in 256 pages of recipes and inspiration.
Over time we have been inspired by the many wonderful people we've met and we have worked hard to delight each and every retreat and festival with beautiful food that nourishes the body and the spirit. Our aim: making vegan and vegetarian food that makes everyone happy - no matter your normal diet - and in a way that helps us cherish the earth.
WHAT WILL YOU FIND IN THE BOOK?
-
10 Bigger Picture chapters and creativity games
(love for food, playing with variables, how to create a buffet, farm-to-table, favourite flavourmakers, flavour groups, growing sprouts, making pestos, and more...)
-
Over 70 vegan and vegetarian recipes + variations: Mundekulla's favourites from all over the world, made with many local ingredients. From soups, salads, proteins and main dishes to breads and desserts. With variation and serving tips!
-
A beautiful sneak peak into the Swedish countryside and Mundekulla story. A story that inspires to come together with your dear ones and make little steps together on your small and big dreams. With creativity, peace, sustainability and an Old House where it used to rain in every room a little over 20 years ago at its core.
A little gift!
Here's a free download of a selection of yummy recipes! Plus, two inspirational chapters from the book! Enjoy :)

Somewhere in the forests of Småland in Southern Sweden there is a tiny village called Mundekulla: four neighbourly houses located around a humble green hill. You might wonder about this special name. One could imagine that ‘munde’ comes from ‘mundo’, which means ‘world’ in Spanish. A ‘kulla’ in Swedish, is a hill. The World on a Hill.
Maybe, just maybe... It might just be my imagination, but could it be destiny that the tiny village of Mundekulla grew to be a centre for music, peace and sustainability, visited by people from all over the world. People singing, sharing knowledge, friendship and of course: beautiful meals.

A PLACE FOR MUSIC, PEACE AND SUSTAINABILITY IN THE SWEDISH FOREST
Mundekulla is a course and retreat center in the countryside of Småland: The place where also IKEA, the famous botanic Linneus and Pippi Longstocking come from. At Mundekulla people come together for courses, conferences and festivals on personal development, mindfulness, creativity, nature and of course: beautiful nourishing food.
Mundekulla is built on sustainable principles ever since it started over 20 years ago. From the buildings to green energy, from social justice to peace projects. For many years we have collected and developed inspiring, sustainable, healthy, creative and tasty recipes. Our biggest wish is to inspire people with the things we do and the food we make. We want to make dishes you just háve to bring home to share with your loved ones.
